Blog's of others

So, since I haven't been that great at updating this blog, I wanted to draw attention to some of my fellow stagiare's blogs to help my friends back home keep in the loop.

Here's the official Peace Corps video from our swear-in in Dakar at the Ambassador's house

Way to go, Emily Pepin for doing such a wonderful job speaking in Wolof on behalf of all the Wolof speakers.

Here's a good wrap-up of what Tabaski looked like (even though this isn't my family)
Tabaski is the what the Senegalese refer to as the Islamic Holiday

Eid al-Adha

It's basically a commemoration of the sacrifice Abraham made

WARNING:  There are pictures of dead rams, as to be expected.

This is the blog of Scott Bell, another Kansan woohoo

Here is a recap of what prices are like in Senegal. I know it sounds a little dry, but Kathleen (one of my closer neighbors) does it good job of connecting it to our lives as trainees.

Her other posts are pretty thoughtful too, if you have the time.

Here is the blog of my CBT BFF, Lisa
http://lisasinsenegal.wordpress.com/
She recaps some of the interesting events that happened in yee ol' Thienaba during our final full week there. I plan to expand on some of those stories, but my plans don't always pan out when talking about this blog, so here's the next best thing.

Here's a blog of a fellow stagiare who does a good job of expressing the confusion I think we are all feeling these days. Note: for the record, it was my LCF who said 'in Senegal this is things' and it was definitely me who popularized it. Not sure why this is important, but to me it is for some reason

Here's a link to one of my fellow stagiares who seems to be the most consistent at updating

I should go through and put my thoughts down, but as for now, here's what you get

love
